She woke up. After a broken sleep, rubbing her eyes. She still cant believe what all happened yesterday. She took a deep breath in, still rubbing her eyes looked at the clock. It was 5:30, too early to get up. She sighed tiredly and got herself out of the bed. She woke up irritated, ill-tempered and looked with hatred to her room.
The dull creme walls were black, except for the streaks of light from street lamp, across the curtain. It took her time to realize what all she had been through. She still wasn't able to justify her actions from last night. Warily she pulled out her hand in dark, and switched on the lights. The room was alive again. It was all a mess. Not a single thing in room was in order. Entire wardrobe of her was laying on the floor, just in front of the closet. The furniture too was in keeping with the room. There was a chair which seems as it was thrown by a giant man. The table in the corner laid disoriented, with a pile of books balanced just from falling. A big clumsy bed occupied an entire wall and a torn off sofa lay oddly as if it was looking at the wall. Entire room looked as if it was raided last night, but to the present state of her mind, it was all positively agreeable.
She looked at the room and kept watching for quite some time, with her eyes still struggling to open themselves. She realized she shouldn't have over-reacted last night. She was feeling dejected from everyone she knew, away from everything, like a tortoise in its shell. She sighed, this time more violently. She had no reason to convince herself to fix up the condition of the room. She was still tired and her head was ready to blow.
She picked up a bottle and rushed out of her room to get water. She hadn't expected any one to awake by this time. But when she heard sound of giggles and laughing in the hallway, a chill crossed her spine. She felt a sudden fear, but she decided she'd slip past that room stealthily.
She could hear her heart pounding in her chest. She gripped the bottle tightly and kept moving towards the water tap silently.
Suddenly, two girls rushed outside from that room. She felt a chill, a shiver to face them. Both girls saw her and ran back into the room. In a moment, whole room was bustling with laughter. She was stuck to ground. She couldn't move a step ahead. A group of girls came out of that room and a girl amongst them shouted out loud,
"She is the one, who was chasing the mouse out of her room last night."
